High School Entrepreneurs Launch City on the Rise

Startup Moxie students to produce community event during IDEA Week

SOUTH BEND, March 27, 2018- The Startup Moxie program (formerly St. Joe CEO) out of South Bend launched their upcoming entrepreneurship event, City On The Rise, being held April 26, 2018 5:30 – 7:30pm. Startup Moxie students are raising the question of “Why?” during their event City on the Rise. Guests will hear from renowned and impactful guest speakers and network with community leaders from the area. Guests will not get the same experience at any other event like you will at City On The Rise.

“We are thrilled for you to join us as we present City On the Rise,” said Kira Pratico, City On the Rise’s CEO. “Our team has worked tirelessly to create an experience that brings excitement for the past that built our city as well as for the current and future innovation that drives our city everyday.”

Chris Stevens will be talking about “why you” and share his personal perspectives with his accompplishments. Regina Emberton will be talking about “why South Bend” and her vision for South Bend as a whole. Chris is the founder and CEO of CS 74 Ventures LLC. Chris was a founder of the Keurig Premium Coffee System and currently teaches in the Mendoza College of Business. Regina is the President & CEO of South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership which is shaping our community into a thriving space for everyone.

Come out and experience a networking event empowered by thirty-four high school students who plan to help evolve the city and change the lives of young entrepreneurs. The event will take place at The Armory in Downtown South Bend. The venue provides a blend of South Bend’s past and future.
